How we research & update

Honest about our process: automated research from primary sources, automated checks before publishing, and corrections when readers flag them.

Last reviewed: October 2026

Where our information comes from

We pull facts, figures and rules from primary sources — open-licensed frequency lists, Tatoeba (CC-BY) and Wiktionary/Kaikki (CC-BY-SA). Each page shows its sources and the date the figure was valid.

How pages are produced

Our content is produced by an automated research-and-writing pipeline and reviewed by automated checks (source presence, figure formatting, internal-link validity, length limits) before publishing. We are telling you this plainly: a human does not hand-review every single page. We do not publish a figure that is not tied to a cited source.

How often we update

Data pages refresh when their source updates. Rule-based guides are reviewed when the underlying rule changes and at least once a quarter. The "Updated" date on each page reflects its last change.

Corrections
